Game Recap

The opening game of the sectional proved to be a disappointment to our Arabians as they could never get the game under control. Even leading at times late in the game and in an overtime, misfortunate situations ended our season. Mark Albers, Brandon Helpling, Eston Stull and Clay Stout will graduate and move on to another chapter in their life. The rest of our team will return next year to carry on a highly competitive basketball program at PHHS. The coaches are to be congratulated on guiding our young men through not only an improvement in basketball skills but also with reacting to all of the hurdles of a long season. The coaches not only developed players, but also supported them as gentlemen. Way to go players and coaches!!! We are very proud of all of you! Now for the game…. Double overtime!! Never give up!!! Our leading scorer in his final game was senior Mark Albers with 15 points. Mark also garnered 4 rebounds and 3 assists. A trio of Arabians scored 10 points each and they were senior Brandon Helpling, senior Eston Stull and Trent Miller. Brandon also pulled down 5 total rebounds and 1 blocked shot. Aston got 6 total rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Trent got 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Next up was Karsten Windlan with 9 points, 1 rebound, 8 assists and 1 steal. Closing out the scoring was Dameion Warrum with 3 points, 6 rebounds and 1 steal. The 2016-17 season comes to a conclusion and it was a great season to remember. The players and coaches are a tribute to a great Arabian program. Congratulations on a job well done.
