Arabians News · State Tournaments to Continue After School Ends

A whole team and several individuals will continue to represent Pendleton Heights High School after the conclusion of the school year on Thursday afternoon.  Make sure you congratulate these student-athletes and try to support them this weekend as they continue their state tournament journeys.

On Friday, the 4×800 team of Milan Jones, Wren Parker, Luke Upton, and Parker Jones will run in the 114th IHSAA Boys State Track Meet.  Alternates for that race include Caleb Martin, Nolan Cauley, Seth Leicht, and Jayden Wenning.  Parker Jones will also compete as and individual in the 1600 Meter Run and the 800 Meter Run.  Luke Upton will round out the meet with his trips around the track in the 3200 Meter Run.  The state meet is being held at Indiana University in Bloomington.  More information is available at the following link: Boys Track State Meet Info

On Saturday, senior, Sam Hammel will look to continue her tennis career by competing at the Fishers Regional.  Hammel (16-1) will square off against junior, Jamie Buhl (12-0) from Cambridge City Lincoln in the semi-final round at 10:00 AM at Fishers High School.  With a win, Hammel will advance to the championship at 2:00 PM.  She would play the winner of Morgan Fitzpatrick (Mooresville) and Emma Hess (Roncalli).  More information is available at the following link:  Girls Individual Tennis Tournament Info

On Saturday, the Unified Track and Field team will be participating in the IHSAA State Finals at Bloomingtn’s Indiana University.  The co-ed team at Pendleton Heights is in only their 2nd year of competitioDSC_0339n and are making their first ever appearance in the state finals.  The team will have competitors in the long jump, shot put, 100 Meter Dash, 400 Meter Dash, and the 400 Meter Relay.  Events start at 1:00 PM on Saturday.  More information is available at the following link: Unified Track and Field State Meet Info


The boys golf team will be participating in the golf sectional on Monday.  The Arabians will compete on the links against Alexandria, Anderson, Fishers, Frankton, Hamilton Heights, Hamilton Southeastern, Lapel, Noblesville, and Tipton.  The golf sectional will be played at Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville.  The sectional will tee off at 8:30 AM.
