Arabians News · Girls/Boys Basketball Set for Road Game at New Palestine

This Friday evening the girls and boys varsity basketball teams will take part in a Coaches vs Cancer game at New Palestine High School.  The girls varsity game will tip at 6:00 pm followed by the boys varsity game.  The JV games along with the boys freshman game will be held at Pendleton Heights on Thursday evening starting at 6:00 pm.  Both Arabian teams will have had a week to prepare for the games following a long Madison County Tournament last week.  The girls finished in 3rd place and the boys finished runner-ups in last week’s tournament.

Pendleton Heights is happy to take part in the event to help support Coaches vs Cancer.  Everyone has been affected by cancer in some sort of way.  In addition, the Arabians are proud to support New Palestine principal, Mr. Keith Fesler in his own battle with cancer.

Fans can find t-shirts and bracelets for sell as well as bidding on baskets to win.  All money raised will go directly to the American Cancer Society which is a requirement to hold a Coaches vs Cancer event.  More information on Coaches vs Cancer and the requirements by the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches can be found at the following link  https://www.nabc.com/Programs/coaches_vs_cancer

This is the start of a big weekend for both teams.  The girls team will have a quick turnaround and travel to Rushville on Saturday afternoon for a noon JV tip.  The boys will travel to Shelbyville on Saturday evening to square off against the HHC leading Golden Bears for a 6:00 pm JV tip.
