The 400 Freestyle Relay team of Karly Riffey, Grace McKinney, Jaima Link, and Emma Robison will represent Pendleton Heights in the IHSAA State Finals this Friday. The relay team finished 3rd in the sectional and turned in a school record time of 3:39.64.
The four swimmers plus alternates Kaitlyn Wheetley, Lily Brooks, Madison Oliver, and Maggie Miller will get things started on Friday night from the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for 5:45 pm with swimming set to start at 6:00 pm.
The 400 Freestyle Relays are scheduled for 8:48 pm according to the IHSAA State Finals schedule. The Arabians will swim in lane 8 during the third of four preliminary heats. Overall, Pendleton Heights is seeded 23rd for the event. The top 16 in each swimming event during Friday’s prelims will return for competition on Saturday with the top eight individuals vying for state championship honors. Those finishing nine through 16 on Friday will make up the competitors in the consolation heats.

Dates: Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, 6 pm ET (Swimming prelims, public gates open at 4:30 pm ET).
Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, 9 am ET (Diving prelims and semis, public gates open at 7:30 am ET), 1 pm ET (Consolations and finals for all events).

Admission: Unreserved tickets are $8 per session or $15 both days. A limited number of $18 reserved season tickets may be purchased online exclusively via the IHSAA e-commerce site at IHSAA.org beginning Thursday, Feb. 6, 2019 at 9 am ET / 8 am CT. Reserved seating for a single session will not be available. Reserved tickets will not be sold over the phone or in person at the IHSAA Office.
Advancement: The top 16 in each swimming event during Friday’s prelims will return for competition on Saturday with the top eight individuals vying for state championship honors. Those finishing nine through 16 on Friday will make up the competitors in the consolation heats. All diving will take place on Saturday with the top 20 of 32 competitors advancing from the prelims to the semis after five dives each. After three dives each in the semis, the top 16 will advance to the final round for another three dives each.
Parking: Fans may park in the Sports Garage located off New York Street just east of the Natatorium.
