Another cold shooting night for the Arabians as they can only score 5 points in the first half. 1 for 10 baskets from the field, 0 for 6 from 3 point range and 3 for 7 free throws will not be competitive in any games. Shots were hurried because of the quickness of the Greyhounds and their overall size advantage. We did shoot better in the second half but still not up to established standards. 37% may be an improvement but still not where the coaching staff expects. Their size also gave them a rebound advantage of 12 more boards. Leading the scoring for the Arabians was Justin Shupe with 12 points. Next up was Trent Miller with 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 steal. Christian Jones came off the bench to score 3 points with 2 rebounds. Davrick Black and Eli Pancol each scored 2 points with Eli also getting 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 blocked shot and 2 steals. Davrick also added a steal to his stat sheet. Luke Drye finished our scoring with 1 point, 4 rebounds and 1 steal. The Arabians are due to break out of their scoring issues and hopefully that happens when we play our next game which is next Friday at home against our neighbors – The Mt. Vernon Marauders. Let’s pack the gym and warm up the nets and open our conference season with a victory.
