The Arabians got off to a great start in the 4×800 (Jayden Wenning, Peyton Burmeister, Caleb Martin, Cole Buck) brought home a second place finish. In the 100m dash Connor Jamison brought in an HHC title in the 100m dash and second place in the 200m dash. Matt Sakeah had a big night bringing HHC titles in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles and a third place in the long jump. Eli Pancol also had a big night winning HHC titles in the 200m dash and setting a new meet record in the high jump at 6′-8″ while getting third place in the 400m dash. Seth Ledford closed in fast for third place in the 110m hurdles. The 800m was one of the most exciting races of the evening. It came down to the very end with Luke Upton holding off Milan Jones. Both ran under the meet record time of 1:56.81 held by Parker Jones in 2017. Luke ran 1:55.40 and Milan ran 1:55.57. This was after they both ran the 1600m that saw Luke Upton winning in 4:22.91 and Milan Jones second at 4:28.34. The 3200 saw Caleb Martin and Sean Roan gut out a third and fourth place finish while both have been battling injuries. In the discus throw Andrew Harvey got third place as a freshman. We ended the night with another record breaking performance in the 4x400m (Matt Sakeah, Luke Upton, Eli Pancol, Milan Jones) running a new HHC record time of 3:24.60. This was a total team win and everyone competed at a high level. I want to thank the assistant coaches for all the hard work they do to make this a successful team. Thank you coach Baer, coach Joyce, coach Romwalter and coach Huth. Our next meet is the sectional again at Mt. Vernon.
