The Arabians entered the New Castle Invitational down five varsity wrestlers due to injury or illness and acquitted themselves very well, winning four of five matches. The Arabians downed Franklin Community in the opening round 37-36 as freshman Jared Brown scored a second period fall in the last match of the meet to bring the Arabians back from a five point deficit. Also winning by fall were Jarod Miller, Tremor Bynum and Cade Campbell. Indianapolis North Central was the next opponent. The rematch of the dual from the season’s opening weekend saw the Panthers turn the table to win 33-30 as they won the final match of the dual by a single point. Winning by fall were Clayton Todd, Bynum and Campbell. HHC foe New Castle fell 54-27 to the Arabians. Winning by fall were Brown and Justin Stephens. The Arabians then downed Whiteland 45-30 with falls from Brown, Zach Sanford, Elijah Bauer, Jacob Fiew, Miller, Garrett Griffith and Bynum. The final match of the day was against a depleted Ft. Wayne Southside squad. The Arabians collected six forfeits on the way to a 75-3 win. Winning by fall were Kyle Drinkut, Fiew, Miller, Andrew Jamison, Griffith and Bynum. On the day, Tremor Bynum led the way with four falls and a forfeit. Derek Sikorski, who wrestled up a weight class to aid the team effort, was named Wrestler of the Meet by the coaching staff.
