The PHHS Lady Arabians couldn’t have ordered a better day to run on their home course to try and take the HHC title back from the New Palestine Dragons. New Palestine ran a great race and the Lady Arabians just couldn’t break the Dragon’s front pack of runners up enough to get the job done. Junior, Brenna Shaw, from New Palestine was the overall winner with a time of 19:04. The Lady Arabians were led by sophomore, Catherine Dudley, finishing in 9th place overall with a time of 20:27 and also earning All-Conference honors. Teammates Katie Jones (12th place), Laney Ricker (13th place), Gloria Richardson (14th place & season PR), and Hailee Brunnemer (15th place & season PR) were also named HHC All-Conference. The top 7 for the Arabians was rounded out by Berkeley Lord (17th place & season PR) and Maddie McKee (21st place & season PR).
The Lady Arabians will host the IHSAA Sectional #15 meet on Saturday, October 12th. The girls will race at 10:45 a.m. and the boys race at 10:00 a.m. Come out and cheer for the PHHS Cross Country teams!

The JV ended their season by sweeping the reserve race by scoring 34 points. New Palestine was 2nd with 42 points, Yorktown 4th with 66 points, and Delta 5th with 77 points. All other conference teams did not have a complete team. Sophomore, Ella Dixon, for PH was the overall runner with a time of 22:12. Teammate, Delaney Busby, finished in 2nd place with a career PR followed by Mycala Brinker (5th & season PR), Kylah Stout (7th), Claire Wittkamper (22nd), Sy Carter (23rd & season PR), Luci Lamper (24th & season PR), Betsy McKinney (27th), Sammi Green (28th & season PR), Madison Brunnemer (30th), Jenna Blackwell (33rd), and Payton Brunnemer (36th).
