The Lady Arabians took down the Yorktown Tigers Tuesday night 98 – 87.
The Lady Arabians looked to prove that they could keep up with a competitive, interconference team from the start. The team of Lily Brooks, Grace Mckinney, Emma Robison, and Karly Riffey lead the way in the Girls 200 Yard Medley Relay by out-touching Yorktown by over five seconds.
Up next was Maggie Miller, who narrowly finished first in the 200 freestyle. The trio of Emma Robison, Jamia Link, and Catherine Dudley finished second, third and fourth respectively in the 200 IM showing the depth of the team compared to Yorktown.
The diving duo of Kelsey Ayres and Reannin Donati finished second and third, performing well in the midst of a tight meet.
Emma Robison and Jaima Link followed up the swimming break with a one, two finish in the 100 Butterfly in a close race. This was followed by several well-swum events by the likes of the Yorktown team.
In the last two individual events, the Lady Arabians were able to secure their victory with Lily Brooks taking home the 100 Backstroke title and the trio of Grace Mckinney, Kaitlyn Wheetley, and Catherine Dudley placing two, three and four in the 100 Breaststroke. The team is looking to again prove themselves against conference competition at home against Greenfield Central Thursday, December 6th.
