The Arabian Swimmers and Divers had many strong performances on the road, but ultimately came up just a little short with a loss to Greenfield Central.
The night was started off strong with a second place finish in the 200 Medley Relay with the team of Jacob Simpson, Trevor Cobb, Tyler Hollendonner, and Ian Christian. The Arabians scored more points in the 200 Freestyle with fourth place finish by Oliver Claxon and fifth place by Parker Christenson. Simpson turned around and grabbed third in the 200 IM with Hollendonner in fifth. The sprint event of the night was a fast one where Brayden Jones clocked in at second and Christian in fourth.
Ashur Grobey continued his strong performance in the 1 mtr Diving event, pulling off another first place finish to contribute to the team. Cobb swam a solid 100 Fly by placing second with Christian in fourth. Jones followed up with third in 100 Freestyle and Jake Mills in fifth. In the long event, Kyle Kemper placed third and Christenson placed fourth.
The boys regained some momentum for the final events of the meet by winning the 200 Freestyle Relay with the team of Jones, Claxon, Hollendonner, and Cobb. The boys took 2-3 in the 100 Backstroke with Simpson hitting the wall second followed by Cobb in third. The 100 Breaststroke was another good event for the boys where Claxon placed second, Hollendonner third, and Kemper fifth. And the night ended with a strong 400 Freestyle Relay where the team of Jones, Christian, Simpson, and Claxon came in third.
The boys will welcome New Palestine at home next Tuesday, December 15 at 5:30 pm.
