The team of Lily Brooks, Grace McKinney, Emma Robison, and Karly Riffey got things going in the Girls 200 Yard Medley Relay with a strong second place over both Yorktown and Greenfield-Central. (Pictured)

Freshman Grace McKinney took home a third place in the 200 Freestyle. Grace has been posting amazing times on the year and continues to show strength in the mid-distance events.
Next up was the trio of Emma Robison, Jaima Link, and Lily Brooks who ended up going three, four, five in the 200 IM, scoring massive points for the team.

The 50 Free showcased sprinter Karley Riffey and Kaitlyn Wheetley. Riffey ended up taking home third place with a time only seven tenths behind first place. Riffey also ended up placing fourth in the 100 Freestyle. Wheetley finished in eighth dropping time and setting a new season best.

Reannin Donati, the lone Freshman diver on the team finished just outside of the podium in ninth.

The 100 Yard Fly was another huge event for the ladies as Emma Robison, Jaima Link, and Catherine Dudley all placed inside the top eight. Robison finished second with a new in season-best time, only two seconds behind first place.

Taking over the 500 Yard Freestyle for the ladies was Maggie Miller who ended up finishing seventh in a very competitive event.
The 200 Yard Freestyle relay was another impressive showing by the team as the relay of Kaitlyn Wheetley, Jaima Link, Grace McKinney, and Maggie Miller finished 4th. The entire team ended up either setting or coming close to their in-season best times.

The 100 Backstroke showcased Freshman Lily Brooks, who’s in-season best time was enough to seal first place in the event. Brooks underwaters and back-half swimming ended up sealing the first in the event. Placing seventh, Maddie Oliver also managed a new in-season best time in a close race where fourth through eighth were separated by less than a second.
Grace McKinney, Kaitlyn Wheetley, and Catherine Dudley demonstrated the girl’s firepower in the breaststroke. McKinney’s swim earned her a fourth place, while Wheetley’s and Dudley’s swims were enough for sixth and seventh.

The final event for the girls, the 400 Freestyle relay ended up being a tight race between Greenfield-Central and the Arabian swimmers. The Arabians lead for the majority of the race, but a surge by Greenfield-Central strongest swimmer was enough to out-touch the team of Emma Robison, Kaitlyn Wheetley, Jaima Link, and Karly Riffey.

Overall the team swam very well and showed continuing improvement over the course of the year. This meet marks the beginning of meets for the second half of the year with the next meet being at Shelbyville, Tuesday the 8th at 5:30 pm.
